Live shows are raw. They have an exciting energy and there is always a fear of missing out as a photographer. Band members move quickly, lights are changing and fans are an eternal wildcard. Moments happen in a flash and sometimes all the elements align. I love shooting live shows and events for all of those reasons. It's action. Like surfing, the elements are constantly changing and you must be hyper aware of your surroundings and know your gear like the back of your hand.
This is the band Pepper on a recent tour through everywhere America. We shot for a week on the road and added a slew of new content, both photo and video, to their arsenal of custom stock photography that I have been building for them. To date, they have used the images for daily social media posts, targeted social media campaigns/advertising, tour posters, press shots, web design, album art and personal projects. The content has allowed them to find a deeper theme and connection with their fans around a concept that will soon be revealed with their upcoming album release.
I'm proud of the work I have done with these guys and excited for more as both our businesses grow.
